| About me / us: | I work for Changing Communities which is a local social initiative as Head of Progamme, which work under the slogan of Lighting Kenya and has been distributing free solar lighting kit, to poor families in the rural areas. The solar lighting kit contain phones solar assorted chargers, lamp which can light whole room as well as powering small radio this was inspired by the need by our organization to bring clean and renewable energy to as many of the Kenyan's poorest people as possible. This was necessitated by the huge need on the ground and after realizing that most of the Kenyans on the rural areas use Kerosene for lighting which emit harmful fumes not to mention the cost they have to part with daily to buy kerosene. With the solar kit the families are able to spare the funds used to buy kerosene and use it to buy food and educate children. |
