About me / us:I am an environmental consultant working and living in Kenya for two years. My wife Johanneke is a teacher. Together we support the Less is More Initiative CBO. We love Kenya, we love the people and we love giving them hands on support. We have set up and manage a waste management project through business, education and awareness. Currently the CBO consists of approximately 15 members. Together with Ms. Nduta Frachier, her son Antony Wangombe and Simon Kaniaru we are the founding members. The location base is Wonderland Integrated Primary School, off Kamiti Road, Githurai 44, Nairobi, Kenya.
Why 1%MEMBER:As a person I have already joined! With our initiative we want to be part of the international 1 % launch. 1 % concept is simple, straight forward and personal. Money is not the only thing we need!

Good morning from a sunny Nairobi! This is Jan Willem, one of the Less is More CBO members. We are currently sourcing for a manager who can run the plastic business on a daily basis and improve the marketing. Next steps are the development of a businessplan, a website and signing contracts with suppliers and clients. We'll keep you posted!

Yes its happening: For the very first time in Kenya, the social media community is coming together to raise Ksh. 100,000.00 within 8 hours that will go towards helping a CBO based in Githurai, Nairobi!
