About me / us:Nav Bharat Jagriti Kendra (NBJK) was established in 1971 by 4 graduate engineers, influenced by the views & ideology of Mahatma Gandhi and Jai Prakash Narayan to work for holistic development of disadvantaged marginalized community in Bihar & Jharkhand states of North India. Mr. Satish Girija is one of the founder member and secretary of the organization. The other 3 founding members are Mr. Girija Satish (Executive Director of the organization), Mr. Prabhunath Sharma (Treasurer) and Mr. Ram Padarat Rout, he left the organization after 3 years of its establishment. The main issues being covered by NBJK are Health, Education, Livelihood, Networking and Advocacy. It is now one of the largest NGOs in the two states and works in both rights based and service delivery modes. Lord Budhha Home for Children is an orphanage at Bodh Gaya in Bihar, managed by NBJK with the financial & technical support of Stitching Kinderhulp Bodhgaya - the Netherlands.
Why 1%MEMBER:1% club is a unique support organization where kind individuals contribute 1% of their income to support the efforts to eradicate poverty. By joining this club some urgent & essential requirement and support will be fulfilled for the orphan children of the Lord Budhha Home for Children (LBHC).

Dear All
Greetings!

We are still in the process of completion of the 6th children house. Due to some unavoidable problem the work got delayed. It will be completed by the end of this year and then we will purchase all the items required for the furnishing of the room.
We shall be posting the photos of the room and children and LBHC soon.
