The 1%CLUB community has spoken again!
Thanks to the ‘general’ pool three (!) projects have been realized today! And that’s not all: because of that the 1%CLUB community has reached the 400.000 Euro limit...
To explain how it works: the ‘general’ pool consists of gifts of 1%CLUB members, that donate a monthly contribution to the (projects of) the 1%CLUB but do not choose a specific project. These contributions are divided among the three most popular projects on the last day of each month.
The first project that has been realized is 'HIV/AIDS Info Centre and HIV/AIDS education' in Uganda: “The money is needed to establish an AIDS info centre, to set up a HIV/AIDS education programme for young people and the community, and to create counseling groups for HIV-positive men and women”.
Project owner Esther Haaisma immediately posted a reaction on her project page: “Thanks to everybody for helping realize this project!!!! It is quite expensive to make a phone call to Uganda, but despite that this morning I called to share the good news. Joy on all sides :)”
The next project that has been realized is 'Kinderopvang Nqobile needs help' in South Africa. The money that has been donated via the 1%CLUB will be spent on the extension of the baby room and the kitchen at child care center Ngobile, close to Durban.
Thanks to the support of 103 1%CLUB members!
The third project that has been realized is ' Jobortunity Tanzania'. Jobortunity is a training institute in Arusha, Tanzania, that offers applied training to young people from slum areas, to prepare them for a job in tourism.
Thanks to the support of ... 190 1%CLUB members!
Thanks to the support of 6.890 1%CLUB members more than 400.000 Euro has been donated to 1%PROJECTS.
We are very proud. YOU make it work.
